It is a 1966, I bought it for $2500 3 years
ago, originally I was just going to have it as a get about town car and
not restore it....but I gave up and put it in the shop. It was in the
shop for almost three years getting:
New tranny, New 1911 dual carb engine, New disk brakes, New wheels, New steering wheel
New interior all around, New paint job down to bare metal, Mural on fan shroud
And many other things, Will be getting a new stereo soon
Originally the car had 1966, 67, and 68 pieces on the car. The rear of
the car was designed with a 67 deck lid and apron so my body shop guy
had to find a 66 apron and deck lid. Then the bumpers were painted
blades, had to find original bumpers. The front fenders were modified
with no turn signals, had to find new ones. Had no running boards, had
soldered holes shut. Had no chrome going down the side of the car, holes
soldered shut. Antenna was in the wrong place for a 66 so had to redo
it. Many other issues but body guy fixed it all!!!! It is an awesome
car, I love it!!!
