WOW! This year the show passed all of our expectations! We had some of the
finest vintage cars in the state come to our little town and for a moment Pioneer Park was transformed into a VW history museum.
There were over 100 cars that entered the park along with a fairly good swap meet.

We had a lot of great busses this year. There was a nice line of deluxes topped off with a 1956 23 window.
The camper class was well represented including 4 nice bay window campers. There were some splities all decked out with tents and vintage camping gear.
|
The special interest class brought out some interesting specimens. The BugBus made its debut sporting new flames and pinstriping. There was also a Rometsch, an Enzmann, a Butterfield VW powered motorcycle, and a Herbie.

We had classes for Ghias, Type III, and Type 181. There were not to many entries, so if you were there, you probably walked away with an award.

Here you can see a line of smart looking Ovals Only. There were a couple of custom ovals at the show that were hiding with their friends in the custom area.
|
There it is, the 57 ragtop custom. Very cool car and the owners too! We had a custom car club from Santa Maria (Coastal Customs) show up along with a good contingent from the Bay Area.
